Keaton Beach 5/1-5/2

Post by Ron Wilson »

Took Friday off and headed to Keaton Beach. On the water by 10:00 Friday. Started in 2'-4' feet early and didn't do much. Headed out to deeper water (6'-8') and caught some nice trout and one spanish to 20+ on Gulp jerk bait and Mirrorlure 52m. Headed in relatively early at 1600, had a couple cold  , grilled out some hamburgers and made an early night. Wives met us the next day and we followed same pattern. Got into them for about 45 minutes, boating 3 keepers 18-21 and a few blue runners. Headed back in early to clean boats and gear, grilled out again, few more  and called it a night. Up early Sunday morning, cleaned up the camper and headed back home. Great weather!

Only pic taken was of my buddy Dave with a couple 20+ trout on Friday.
