I'm sure I could probably make a reasonable representation of one of these but before searching for materials and getting involved, I thought I check to see if there's an easier way and just as cheap given my opportunity costs.

Does anyone know of a source.... ?? Mom says she wants one at the corner of her drive way.
NO, I don't want JT to make a midnight run on a Captain D's and then sell me one.

I am not handy Bud so I can't help you. I have always wanted to put red and green channel markers at the end of my driveway like the Coast Guard station in Marathon.
I am sure my HOA would love it.

What size do you want?

Buy a ten foot log - cut into 4', 3' & 2' pieces. I know that leaves an extra foot - but you get the idea.
Sand them with a grinder.
Drive a piece of #8 rebar into the ground at said location
Arrange log pieces around rebar.
Wrap rope around - tuck or nail tag end on the backside of ensemble
Repeat rope and your done.
You could probably cheat and wire the logs together and wrap the rope around the wire to hide it.
That would be the BPM (Bud Preferred Method) aka the cheapest IMO
