BB's Rant PART DOS

by BAD BEHAVIOR
I had a phone call today from the shopowner where Bad Behavior was burglarized and vandalized. After a lengthy discussion, we agreed to chalk up the unfortunate incident and the outfall from the incident to a misunderstanding. The owner had to of been under an enormous amount of stress with all that happened at his shop. I appreciate the call from the owner to let me know that they werent aware of the damages to my boat and some rectification of the situation has been offered. I appreciate feeling that the owner wants my business enough to pick up the phone and call me to ask me to let him make it right. I have ordered a new prop for the Maverick and I am consulting with them for a new prop for the Triton. I feel that the shop may not be getting a fair shake because of my previous post. While I stand by my statement where I said you need to read all the fine print and know if your shop has insurance or not, I feel this shop may be getting a little more "ass-whippin" than it deserves. Before this incident, I , along with many other anglers on the site received really good service from these guys. I intend on giving them a second chance, hopefully most of you on the site will, too. I intentionally did not mention the name of this shop to avoid damaging their business, which was never my intention to begin with. I wont mention their name here either. If you dont know who the shop is, this doesnt affect you, and hopefully you'll be able to use the shop and draw your own conclusion. After talking with the owner, I figured I should make this post because like the entire rant was about, It is the right thing to do.

This issue demonstrates well how things can go south with good folks on both sides of an issue. I'm quite relieved to read this thread as the other did, in fact, get out of hand. I remember sometime in the past when, as I recall, a request was posted to boycott a coastal business in Panacea due to some family politics. I also recall TomK rightfully addressing the inappropriate nature of that issue being discussed being discussed on this forum.

I'm a firm believer in "slice and dice" in expressing my opinion but try to draw the line when it gets
personal...unless Obama and other liberal fanatics are involved!

Did they offer any reassurance for future protection of property left on their premises? Or are they going to acquire insurance form here out after this incident? I've used "unnamed" shop and they did great work... pricey.. but A+ work, and knowledge of all work done... but I'm just sayin...
