Left this am with my lovely lady, of 23 years, for an Anniversary day of fishing. Got to the ramp at St. Marks around 9 am, about 4 hours before hight tide.

Fished East around stake #1 in 8 feet of water caught couple of lady fish and a remora, some fun.

Decided to try more west, when we got down the way a couple of miles, Deb said this looks good stop, I did.
Over the next couple of hours we boated 8 keeper trout and 2 bluefish, one blue was over 21 inches long. We caught about 30 fish, no catfish, not one. Couple of ladyfish. About every 2nd or third trout was a keeper, very nice.

Water was still stained but not as much weed, we used green jigs, lots of them. Water cooled to 80 degrees. Seas flat to 1 foot, nice breeze, Great day.
The Bite is on.

Nice mess of skillet sizzlers!
Bake that blue with a good drizzle of Italian dressing, few sprigs of fresh rosemary, S&P, and covered with thin slices of fresh lemon. Half way through, splash on some decent white wine and a little olive oil.
Thanks for the report. Have a good dinner and enjoy! :D

Congratulations on your 23rd anniversary

What a romantic way to spend it.
I always knew you were an old smoothie.

Very nice photographs and a good catch.
It seems as though y'all are going to have a productive Autumn fishing.
Perhaps it will make up for all the coloured water of the Summer.
