Got there late real clear & calm wondered what they were Still not sure there wasn't somthing there in with Mullet and bait but I couldn't get a bite.
Me no likey headed North got some color and picked up a couple on CT & Gulps. Ran a lot more Norths & lit the afterburners.
Caught 50 fish most were short Trout Black Sea Bass & Gag Grouper. Finally found the keepers and was getting it done. Then it comes unraveled. I break a $100.00 rod and am going to restart the drift and its lights out. Its all gone no horn tilt trim gps depth finder or starter. Dead boat no cell phone nothing. My nerves of steel are rocked a little. Float plan nope! Makes you wonder whats next. I take the ground loose and tighten it back up, she fires off, and the tilt and trim work so show is now over even though I just really found them good. We had a fair day and a good mess. Wasn't going to try my luck I just hit the hill. Biggest Trout was 23" and full of eggs. It was a pretty nice day and my son in law and I caught a few.

5 nice Trout and a few BSB

WAM out! salute3

Congrats on the fish and getting back OK. I've been on the end of having a motor not start and it's not a good feeling. Maybe file a plan with somebody before leaving, and oh, yeah, don't forget the cell phone! I didn't have one either when I was stranded and just got lucky to get it running. A good vhs radio is good to have, too.

The radio wouldn't work I have one I get no cell phone coverage there so I don't tote one.
Usually I leave one with the wife but didn't had another boat we were fishing with but couldn't gettem because of the no electronics working. I would have Mc Givered somthing if the boat didn't start. Just proof that just when everything is working great on your boat the next minute it can all go south if you mix it with salt water.

Glad everything worked out OK! I got a cheapo Tracfone that works like crazy down there when nothing else seems to be consistent or sometimes work at all. Just a thought!
I keep some minutes on it and leave it at the coast. I tried a more expensive model and never could get it programmed for the coastal zip code so I got my money back and bought
the cheap version from walmart and it works like crazy! I've never not had a signal on water from Rock Island to Aucilla and can sit in the camper and talk to home with a strong signal.
