Junior and I were fishing the Team Seatrout tournament Sunday when we heard the most awful sounds.
The sound was a 27 foot offshore cruiser grinding oyster shells and blowing out the props.
We were fishing a little cove that has a feeder creek through the marsh to the Carrabelle river. Butch and I have come through this creek many times in the SeaArk. The creek averages a 5 foot depth. At the mouth of the creek and onto the flats it averages 18 inches on a high tide. The tide was falling.
For reasons we will never know this guy and his crew of one decided to come through the creek in his 27 foot 30 inch draft boat.
We left the area right after he asked the guys in the XPRESS boat near him for a tow. Their reply was "call SEATOW". Then they left also.
Just thought I would share this with you.
