Fished with the fly rods from sunrise to about 2:30 PM - got a mixed bag of about 15, mostly bream but with 4 specks and 3 small bass thrown in. Two of the specks were nice size - about 12"-13".
The fish were feisty today and fought pretty good, despite the heat.

Sounds like a pretty good day on the water.

What flies were you using?

mostly small olive flies similar to a charlie or gotcha: olive marabou tail, pink v-rib body over flash, olive calf tail wing, brass 1/8 eyes on a number 8 hook. For specks, a similar fly, except with larger eyes and round rubber legs (second row, left).

Clousers work, poppers also, but when the sun gets up, the deeper flies work best. The black fly in the picture dives like a homesick whale -its got 5/32 brass eyes and a body wrapped in chartreuse wire (with small clear v-vrib over that). The wing is black ice fur. I picked up a nice bass on that, as well as bream.
