Headed out around 6:15 A.M.
Stopped at the first hole about 7 miles out in 40 feet of water. We immediately started hauling in rock bass one after another using cut bait. We boated about 25 or so then headed out for the bigger fish.
Stopped about 15 miles out in 65 feet of water. We boated a few 24" - 29" gags using LY's and even landed a few short red snapper. The grunts were biting full force too. We trolled a stretch-30 to the next hole, 2 1/2 miles away, and boated one 28" Spanish, two keeper gags, and a few nice nice rock bass. Lost one huge cobia right at the boat. On the way back to the Village, we trolled 7 miles out and caught a few more keeper gags until we were cut off by something big cruising by. All in all, it was a nice day and we came home with a cooler full of nice fish. It was a great day on the water.....definately will be bringing more 30's on the next trip!
