:-D Went to Keaton and got our limit. It took a while but who wants to get them all in 30 minutes? My son has learned to snorkle and was picking them up two at a time. The most I got at one time was 4 but there were a lot of doubles and singles. :-D  There were a lot more boats out there than I thought there would be. The only other person I talked too at the ramp only got 1 gal. He went the opposite direction we did. We shucked our half gallon on the boat. :smt004

I have never been to Keaton. Is the launch easy to find? Once there, will the "Scallop Flotilla" be easy to spot or is there a certain direction I should head.

Thanks in Advance.

We have been scalloping a few times a season out of Steinhatchee for the last couple of years have always been able to get our limit there. I just go straight out the channel until you get the end of the markers (marker #1) and hang a left (SSE) and go a couple of miles until you see the other boats in the grass flats. You will be about 1-2 miles off shore and it's a big area so don't be afraid to find your own area that has not been picked out. (Don't forget to bring your Cajun Thunder equipped trout/red rod, either!)

We are going out with a couple other boats next Saturday on July 11, so I will let youall know how it was!

Glad that they're still around despite the doom-n-groom reports.
