Decided to go fishing a little around 745. got to a nice looking weed patch in about 2 feet. started throwing a buzz bait and on my 5th or so cast hooked a nice one. reeled him up to the boat and he ran under it and got hung under the boat or some weeds? Finally put the boat in reverse and got him out and got him in the boat and wouldnt you know there was a plastic worm in his mouth . he was about 2.5 or 3 pounds and that was all i caught he fought good though.

I find humor in your story because fisher people spend thousands of dollars on lures and equipment trying to outsmart an animal with a brain the size of a pea, and a 16 second memory. Over the years I've caught several bass with baits stuck in their mouth. The best was when my son was young. He broke his line setting the hook on a bass. Less than a minute later I caught a fish. When I lipped the fish into the boat I reached inside the fish's mouth, removed my son's worm and hook, and asked my son if he wanted it back.

And us fishermen think we are so smart.......
