280000 mortgage

My young son came to me last week and said "Dad I would like a new bike for my birthday". I had to pull him aside and tell him son your mother lost her job last week and their is a 280000 mortgage on this so I just cannot buy you a bike. He took the news well.
The next mourning I saw my son with suitcase in hand heading for the door. I asked him what he was doing?
He said last night when I walked by your room I heard you tell mom you were pulling out and she "wait I am coming too"
He continued "There is no way I am staying in this house by myself with a 280000 mortgage and no stinking BIKE!!"
Gotta love kids don't ya???
