I have found myself fishing around here a lot lately and just using my little 13 foot Gheenoe. I have decided that I might try to sell my Key West to buy a bigger Gheenoe. If I can't get my asking price, I will just keep it because I really like the boat. Here are the details, The boat was built in September 2002 and was bought brand new in the Spring of 2004. I have had no trouble at all in the 50 hours that I have put on it. I bought it in June 2008. It now only has 70 hours on it. I have only used Yamalube products and have changed foot oil every 10 hours. Those of you that know me know how well I take care of my stuff. You also know that I am a very honest man, there is nothing wrong with this boat. It is a great rig, Tom Keels has one just like it. Like I said, if I can't sell it for my asking price I will just keep it forever. I have been very happy with it. http://www.keywestboatsinc.com/boats/show/id/3

Dave, that's a great looking ride. Hate to see you thinking of selling it. What is the asking price? I didn't see it listed?

Dude, dont do it. Youll feel like ur wife left you when it drives away. The only difference is youll miss the boat more. Go outside right now and sit in it. Youll change your mind. Just a little advice from one buddy to another!!

DAVE????????????????? Have you lost your mind?? That 1720 is one of the best flats/bay boats ever made. You will regret it as soon as you do it jjust like BB said. Listen to him he is a friend that cares. You won't find a better boat than that for what you like to do. Even if you didn't fish that is a good boat. Trust me Cuz, hang on to it! It has a very shallow draft. Why can't you use it down in Albany? I have always really liked that 1720 series. It is the most popular Key West ever made. As new as that boat is it will last you 30 years!

Let me know before you buy a bigger Gheenoe I know some one that may be looking to sell one that is very nice for a good price. I hate to see you sell your boat, but I am curious how much are you asking.

  Apparently my buddies don't think I should sell the "Jolly Mon"? I have gotten 10 calls this morning from folks trying to talk me out of selling it. I also have two guys wanting to come to my house to look at it tonight. It really is a great boat.....maybe I should just keep it? I really don't like to run it up the Flint because of the rocks, I just need a river boat in addition. I posted it last week and had Tom delete the post 5 mins after I put it up, it just didn't feel right. Thanks guys, I know who my friends are. Bad Behavior, holler at me when you get a chance. We need to set up a day to go fish.

Don't do it jolly mon................ :D You will regret it sooner than later.
I just bought the exact setup, minus the trolling motor, and love it.
Got to make a prop change and buy a trolling motor, and then we're straight.
What pitch prop are you running ? Is that 12V enough trolling motor ? I am thinking 24V because we drag baits for striper a good bit and also fish stronger currents on the GA. coast. Thanks
