Taking out the trash 8/1/09

Post by boggob »

Decided to go in the afternoon and launched at Alligator Point with a plan to head west. Fished some bars and headed west. Got to Turkey Point to find shovel-heads feeding everywhere on the the low tide. Navigation was tricky and did not want to end up stuck or tear up the grass so I decided to head to the east and go around the shoal. Instead, since the wind laid down, we ran out to DI Reef. Started catching bait and sharks! Blacktips, Lizardfish, Ladyfish, and Catfish. It was sitll nice to get the rods bent. Headed back stopped to fish Alligator Point (gulfside) and it was the same story. It was getting late and decided to head in. Stopped off and fished some bars again and picked up another couple of sharks and catfish.

I am ready for fall!

Maybe not much for the table, but sounds like a fun day on the water.

I hear you man, I can't wait for it to cool back off so I can catch something besides trash. Too bad catfish doesn't taste as good as trout..............

My summer holes will be producing all through August. Lots of quality trout and redfish. Please stay off my summer holes. I will have people watching.
WHOSE FISH IS IT?
