White House Draws Fire for Requesting 'Fishy’ Information From Supporters on Health Reform
The White House is under fire for a blog post asking supporters to send "fishy"information received through rumors, chain e-mails and casual conversations to a White House e-mail address,
flag@whitehouse.gov.
Now we're supposed to rat on folks! I've started with myself.....I hope they do read my emails, study the material I receive and send and especially enjoy the many political cartoons I
receive and send. Big brother better have a sense of humor and be prepared to have his toes demolished!
It will be interesting to see if they use my email adress for anything!
I have sent an email to the site asking for clarification of "fishy"!

I heard this morning on the news that they want you to also turn in people that might be against the heath care bill, and those who might talk against it. I guess that relates to what you are saying RF. So I would like to go ahead and save others trouble and turn myself in. I am against it, think it sucks, and also think that those that might vote for it are complete idiots by thinking it will be better. Read up on your history morons. Gov. Heath care has been proven to suck and not work.

Isn't the Military a a wholly-owned government subsidiary, thereby making it a "socialist" institution?
Isn't it also like saying, "Keep your government hands off of my Medicare?"
I'm just asking. Personaly, I have little faith in the government or the future.

Lots of people want to say it never happened. The ones who died and were detained believe it happened

It seems to me that the heart of this issue has been overshadowed by the rhetoric on both sides. It seems to me that the reason this bill was proposed was as follows: when people have no insurance they don't get preventive care when they are sick. Things escalate and they go to the ER to get treated. The ER sticks them with a large bill that they can't pay, which the government ends up having to pay. So in theory, if the government paid for the less expensive preventive care (compared to the ER bill) then the person wouldn't have to go to the ER. This ends up saving the government money.
The key is in the execution. If the program is run correctly it can save alot of money. However, since politicians are involved, it may very well be like giving your favorite baitcaster to a four year old - have fun getting that mess untangled.
I personally enjoy when there is equal power in the houses. If they never agree on anything, they never pass anything and don't screw anything up! It really seems to me that the people making the most noise on both sides really have no idea what they are talking about. I wonder how many people who complain about "Big Brother" have actually read 1984 and actually know what Big Brother is. I digress. Actually, the only thing the lawmakers seem to be good at is increasing the days to shut down grouper and snapper fishing. Just my two cents....

No matter what the problem, government intervention will be a solution we will regret for generations to come.
Want to solve a lot of the problem, have the government make a deal with a private insurer to cover folks without coverage. Put it out to bid, then the government just writes a check to the insurance company.
Another idea, enlarge public health clinics using a lot more nurse practitioners and physician assistants with extended hours. Then let emergency rooms do proper triage to send folks who really don't have an emergency home with instructions to go to the health clinic. This is what we do with our vets, but for some reason liberals in this country think dead beats and illegal aliens are more deserving than our vets.
Excuse me while I go throw up.

The Dems Healthcare push is nothing about reform but simply takeover! It would be much more financially responsible to just simply continue to pay for indigent healthcare with some stringent restraints. Competition is good and healthcare is no exception!!!!!!!! Healthcare has faults but what group or industry doesn't? THE MORE GOVERNMENT INTERVENES IN THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM THE MORE IT WILL DECLINE IN EXCELLENCE AND EFFICIENCY AND INCREASE IN COST(S)!!!!!!!!!!
If you desire a sobering thought today just parallel in your mind changing healthcare as the auto industry is changing.....today Congress must vote on 2 billion dollar increase in funds to pay for the pending gall bladder and appendix removals. The White House says realistically the money could better be spent giving condoms to grade school kids. If not passed it is estimated about 60,000 waiting patients will die within 6 weeks. Meanwhile, more importantly, Obama and Michelle are moving ahead to spend 2 billion dollars to transform Club Gitmo into a new presidential retreat. The remaining "detainees" still there will be housed in guest quarters and serve as support personnel for the compound. They are being paid 75K a year salary in addition to housing, meals, healthcare and cable TV. They also receive a government discount on sandals, Korans and turbans.
