Trailer tires
What kind of tires do most of you run on your trailers ? I happened to look at my trailer this afternoon and saw a golf ball sized knot on one of the tires. So, gotta get it replaced and will probably replace both of em . Do you use radial or biased ? Seriously, I never have had a trailer tire fail on me.. even a flat. I want to get something that will hold up as the thought of trying to jack up a trailer with a boat on it at night with a dim flashlight don't really appeal to me..

Most important thing....AGE
I had a Goodyear radial blow on me that looked brand new. The date code on it was 6 years old. After years of camping and trailers of all kinds, I now replace any tire over 5 years old, no matter what it looks like. Not doing so is asking for a blowout.
Also, make SURE the "new" tires you buy are just that NEW. Look at the date codes. They should not be over 6 months old.

You will have a flat, bearing failure or some other trailer problem in the next 6 months after making that kind of statement. Better replace the bearings while your at it. Karma is a biotchsundown wrote: I never have had a trailer tire fail on me.. even a flat...
