Like an old neighbor...

With my casualty insurance company quitting in Florida and increasing what's left of their auto business rates, I'm looking to do an overhaul.

This would include 2 houses(one primary), 2 boats/trailers and 5 autos.

Anyone have any dealings with Cotton State?
Any other suggestions or experiences - good or bad?
Thanks.

We've had Cotton States since we moved into our house and we've never had an issue. We've never had a claim either.

We still have State Farm for autos.

I moved everything from State Farm to Farm Bureau. Rates were a little better as well.

I HAVE BEEN WITH COTTON STATES FOR OVER 40 YEARS AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS BENT OVER BACKWARDS ON THE SERVICE. THEY HAVE THE LOWEST PRICES AROUND AND GIVE THE BEST SERVICE OF ANY INSURANCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I FEEL SORRY FOR ANY OF YOU PEOPLE THAT HAVE STATE FARM, ONE OF THEIR CLLIENTS TAIL-ENDED ME 4 YRS AGO AND I AM JUST GETTING MY SETTLEMENT, HAD TO SUE THEM TO GET IT NOW.

"Like an good neighbor, State Farm is there"
Yeah, sure.

My wife had State Farm when we were dating. Her home was in Douglas, Ga. The summer she came to stay here for a couple of months, they cancelled her policy because they said she did not stay at the house long enough. (We found out later a nosey neighbor was friends with the agent)

I would NEVER do business with them again.

These big companies just kill me. They spend millions and millions running ads on TV about how great they are, and then turn around and piss off their customers by trying to shave a few bucks off their bottom line.

I am with Geogia Farm Bureau. Had claims on both auto and home, never once had a problem with being paid. Once, believe it or not, I had hail damage on a Jeep (I did not hardly even see it) and they called me 3 times about getting an estimate to get a check for the damage. In the end, I never got it fixed, it was just not bad enough to see.

Just a few months back, they took on my daughter, who had had a wreck that was her fault. Nobody would touch her for less than $2400 a year(Even the Lizard). They (GFB) took her on for $1600 a year.
