Good morning.

I have noticed recently that if I am creating a post and wish to include a smilly face from the complete selection, the one I choose will not insert. If I select one of the 35 choices displayed across the top or on the side of the post it will insert into the text as expected. If I click on the "View more smiles" and select one (even one of the first 35) the selection does not insert into the text.from the ones that are presented. Any ideas as to what's going on? Thanks.

I have had that problem also. I figured it was just my computer. When I select one of the smiles from "View more smilies" it puts the code on the top of that window and I have to copy and past it. It rarely puts the code in the post automatically anymore.

I don't seem to be able to reproduce that problem.

I am having some issues with scrolling while composing and smilies being inserted in the wrong place.

It goes away if I put the site in compatibility mode. I am running IE8

IE8 for me also.

Works like a champ.

I can open up the smiley page and select the following image (images/smilies/102.gif) all day long and it will not apear in the post. I can copy the properties and place it between the BBCode [ ] and it will show. I can choose one from those that are displayed on the side of this composition and it will insert as many as I want. But if I bring up the complete selection I can not insert by clicking on any of them.

They are not images you are putting in, they are codes like this...
Don't know why. First rule in tech support, if I can't reproduce it, I can't fix it.

Tom I was able to replicate what he is saying. First, click on ALL smilies. Then maximize the smiley screen. Try to select one. Not only will it not put it in the reply, but the code appears above the smilies on the maximized smiley screen.....


Weird. Oh, and compatibilty mode has nothing to do with that one. Works the same for both.

Actually, you do not even have to maximize the smiley screen for it to work. Here is a jpg of what it is doing.

Tried in IE8, Firefox and Chrome. I cannot reproduce it. The codes go into the reply text box as they should for me.
