Well, all I can say about Friday is that it was relaxing ta be on the river  had only two Bass roll at the top water and none touched the worm :( Saturday I hit the flats around Bottoms and got a real nice Blue and a just legal Trout with many short strikes on the top water  I did get checked by the man on Saturday and during our conversation, he advised me as to were ta try the Reds in the early mornin hours  At daylight Sunday I was on my way to that spot just as fast as I could go :D The wind was perfect for a drift past the spot, so I stopped a fair distance from it and started trowing towards it. First cast BIG Red on pullin drag and havin fun, then he is gone :o Reel in and the hook is broke off "I will be replacing a lot of hooks this week" Changed to another Topdog and cast again, another hookup and land a 25"er  final count for one hour of fishin 6 legal size Reds caught, around 6 lost during the fight, 1 18" Trout, two straitened hooks and a broken hook, all on Topdog Jr's :lick: I did see a lot of Pompano on the shoals out from Oyster Bay but couldn't get any ta take my offerings  All in all, a pretty decent weekend

They wanted the top water movin yesterday, I usually fish them like I do for Bass "retreive, stop, retreive, stop.....", but they would really crush the lure with a steady poping retreive yesterday!
