Anyone use their outboard synthetic products? Looking for some real world feedback rather than what's on print. Is it actually any better than the other synthetics on the market? Cost wise, we're not talking that much difference. Thanks

HEY KILLSWITCH, NEVER USED IT IN MARINE ENGINES BUT USED IT SINCE THE 70'S IN 200 OVER THE ROAD TRUCKS. VERY EXPENSIVE BUT IT PAID FOR ITSELF MANY TIMES OVER . WE WERE ABLE TO INCREASE THE TIME BETWEEN OVERHAULS FROM 250,000 MILES TO 6-700,000 . WE WOULD HAVE FAR FEWER PARTS TO REPLACE WHEN WE DID OUR MAJOR OVERHAULS. WE USED THE CRANKCASE OIL, TRANSMISSION OIL, AND THE DIFFERENTIAL GEAR OIL , THIS CUT DOWN THE BREAKDOWNS ON THE HIGHWAY TO ALMOST NOTHING. WE DID UPPER END OVERHAULS AT 300,000 , DID OUT OF FRAME OVERHAULS BETWEEN 6-700000. WE NEVER DID HAVE TO REPLACE THE CRANKSHAFTS AND CAMSHAFTS ON ANY OF OUR TRUCKS. I MIGHT ADD THAT WE USED CUMMINS ENGINES, EATON REARS,AND SINGER TRANSMISSIONS.

I have run it in my Yammy since new "over 1400 hours now" change the oiland filter every 200 hours and have had zero problems and have heard no noise form the engine "have never adjusted the valves either" I also run it in my truck 120,000 miles and still sounds and runns like new

One caution though. My nephew "salesman for Car Quest" said that if the motor has had a lot of use with regular oil, the synthetic will clean it out and you may have some oil leaks

Thanks for the info. I have a 2004 yamaha 90 hp 2 stroker and a 1989 yamaha 150hp that I am considering changing to the amsoil synthetic.
The 90hp I purchased over the summer has been run with Pennzoil semi synth. since day 1 according to the previous owner, so I have continued with the same oil.
The 150 hp I have owned since 2004 and was run with amsoil by the previous owner. However, I have used yamalube since owning the motor.
Just looking at options in hope of maximizing the life of these motors. Thanks again for the info.
But...........on the other hand, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

All of my experiance has been with 4 stroke, not 2 stroke motors
