fishing license question

Does anyone know the requirements for fishing licenses while fishing in the St Marks/Wakulla Rivers around the fort?
Would one need a freshwater license?

You need a license for the species that you keep "fresh VS salt"

At the fort, you should probably have both, but at least have a salt. Up at the bridge a fresh will do. I always buy a combo and never worry about it.

They can also nail you for the species that you are "targeting."
This can be tricky especially in the Winter months when trout, reds, and bass are all located in the upper parts of the St. Marks and Wakulla. Your best bet is to just get both.

And now they have a shoreline license for saltwater that is $9.00 which is useless in a boat, But a regular Saltwater Recreational license for $17.00 is good for boat and shore.

Spend the $32.50 for a one year combination licence. Even if you only use it once the money goes to a good cause, maintaining our resource and our sport. That combo licence will cover you wherever you are in the state and for any gamefish you catch. (keep in mind there are some stamps for snook and tarpon) also be sure to know your regulations. If you are not sure of size or limits release them as unharmed as possible.
