Well I finally got a chance to do some overdue fishing. Boat is still in the shop and will hopefully be complete by this weekend. A buddy and I put in Saturday at Oyster Bay around 9:00am to fish the slack low tide. We made our way to some skinny water and began chunking topwater. We were trying to find some tailing reds, but the wind put just enough ripple on the water to keep them hidden. Did manage to catch two trout over 20"s in less than a foot of water and quite a bit of trout in the 18 to 19" range.

We then moved back into a creek and my partner was able to land a 23" red also on topwater. We caught one more short red and then made our way in. Been about 4mths since I have had a chance to get out and it was sure worth it.  Looks like the fall pattern is begining to kick in..... things should only get better as the weeks move on. :smt007
