I've never fished the Aucilla River. I was wondering if it is navigable upstream from Nutall Rise. If so, how far up can one go? Is there a ramp near the mouth of the river? I have a JetJon and hope to Bass Fish Sunday. Any other advice greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

Captfredfish,

Nutall Rise is the last "rise" of the Aucilla river before it reaches the Gulf. The river is below ground above here, except for several short "rises", all of which are on private property, until you go several miles upstream.

The ramp towards the mouth of the river is easy to get to if you will take the first right after J.R.'s store onto the dirt road and just follow the signs from there. If you are looking for a good route to take out of the river, there is a card sold at Jerry's bait & tackle w/ GPS numbers to get you in and out without hitting ant rocks. He also has one for the Econfina river
