The wife is looking at the new BPS Christmas catalog that came today. I walk by and point at some random thing just to see if I can jerk her chain.

"I want one of those."

Her: "No, those are for serious fishermen."

Me: "???." "I fish seriously when I really want fish."

Her: "No, I've gone with you. You try, but fishing comes too easy for you to be serious about it."

Should I be upset?

Ask her what you are serious about - might come in handy one day.

Can I borrow your wife?

I think she was just blowin' smoke. I gave it a little bit of a try this afternoon and got a couple hits on a spinnerbait, but didn't connect.
