Any of you folks remember when you could mail a letter with a 2 cents stamp?
If you put 5 cents on it and marked it "via airmail" it would get there quicker.

Is my life slowly flashing before my eyes? :(

BACK IN THE LATE 20'S AND EARLY 30'S THE ONLY THING WE COULD SEND IN THE MAIL WAS A POST CARD, THAT COST .01 AND I HAD TO TAKE IT 4 MILES TO THE FIRST PLACE YOU COULD MAIL ANYTHING. I ALSO SPENT A LOTOF MY YOUNGER YEARS PICKING UP DRINK BOTTLES, THE CORNER STORE WOULD GIVE US .01 CENT FOR EACH ONE WE BROUGHT IN CLEAN. I CAN REMEMBER PICKING UP ENOUGH BOTTLES TO BUY
$2 WORTH OF GAS ON SAT. MORNIN'S, GAS WAS .12 CENT A GAL.
