Nice start to the '09 Season - Hunting

I ended up leaving the house later than I wanted this morning due to a restless 2 year old that only wanted dad. I finally got on the road about 5:45am 
I arrived at the property around 6:35am and made a mad dash for the stand a few hundred yards away. I had just got positioned good in the tree when I spotted a few does across the field walking along the top of the road. I lost view of them due to the thick brush. A few minutes later, a shot off in the distance startled the deer and they ran out into the field. Off to the distance was a nice buck hanging behind. The group gradually made their way to the end of the field and the buck split off and walked my way. He went off into the brush about 40 yards, so I put up the rifle and waited for him to reappear. He did......right in my sights 
A quick squeeze of the trigger, and he was down The other deer stayed in the field, including what appeared to be a 6 point. I let them walk and decided to get down and inspect the kill.....
A nice 9 point that weighed about 160 lbs....
