Casting Lessons around town??

Post by willworkforfish »

Ok guys... it has been a while now that i have spent some time at a little pond trying to figure out this whole casting thing. Im OK at times but not nearly consistent enough at all. Plus every time i go to shoot line the fly always kicks out to the left and dies in a pile. I realize it takes a lot of practice, i just dont want to be practicing the wrong things and developing poor habits. I will be moving back to Thomasville in Dec since i will be a college grad (scary) and was hoping to find someone who could tell me what i was doing wrong and provide some help. Does Kevins down in Tallahassee do this? or hopefully someone a little closer to town? Of course I would be willing to pay for the time. I just really want to be able to be confident when i go to cast at my first red. Thanks and you guys have been a real help so far in this new endeavor of mine!

Look on the FFF website and search for a certified instructor...think there is one in Tallahassee and one in Thomasville. Jim Penrod is a master instructor in Mexico Beach. I took lessons from him.
