Friend & site member lost forever

One of my good friends in Moultrie passed away this week - Brian Collier
Great friend and father - you could always count on him to listen when nobody else would - he will sorely be missed.
He was a member of this site (bcollier and a few other handles) and had been part of my entire life in some shape or form.
Fair winds and following seas Brian - RIP
I don't normally do this and pretty much keep most of life private - but felt compelled to tell everyone not to take your family or friends for granite - one day they will be gone - be sure they know how much you mean to them

Very sorry to hear the news, Chalk.
Truer words can't be spoken than the reminder -- thanks indeed for sharing it. Will do my best to remember it as I get the rare chance to share time with friends and family over the holidays.

Sad news! RIP ! I think I took some redfish pics for him in the Anky this year.
Don't take a day for granted.....love your loved ones like there is no tomorrow and when lucky enough...fish the same way.
When I get to Anky the first thing I do is go look at the river and say a prayer of thanks and the last thing I do when I leave is drive down and take another look...that way...no regrets if its the last time! Day or night, I never make an exception. When you really think about it....life is a short trip!

I am sorry for your loss. Very close "like family" friends are few and far between in this world.

Chalk,
I met Brian when he was in nursing school. He did a rotation in the ICU where I work and we spent an 8 hr. shift working together. He did seem like a really good guy, I'm sorry to hear about what happened to him. Those were some good pictures of him you posted, he must have been a great fisherman, too. Keep those memories alive, man.
