Dick Bowles passes

I looked through and did not see it posted, Ranaman called me this afternoon and told me of the passing of Dick Bowles. My grandfather had a place next door to him when I was a kid and he would take me fishing on occasion. As you know he was the writer of the fishing reports for the big bend section of florida sportsman and for years wrote the fishing articles for the Gainesville Sun. The week after I would go fishing with him, he would mail me the newspaper article he would write about our expediton. He was a fabulous man and I will miss him greatly. The love of salt water fishing I have was brought about because of him. Good bye Dick, look forward to fishing with you down the road.

That is sad news indeed. Dick was a true gentleman and a talented writer and musician. He was a great ambassador for our sport. He will be missed.
