Fishing NW wind
I am thinking about going saturday. A 20kt NW wind should be unbearable for inshore should it. I may just be wanting to go so bad I don't care. I plan on fishing as skinny and close to shore as possible so it should be protected if I am thinking right. Any thoughts?

Re: Fishing NW wind
Finding a well protected cove on a really windy day often pays off. Just be careful! Drift socks and anchors are all the more important in high winds. Good Luck

I realize at low tide it'll be skinny but at 0600 there should be water until it goes out?

Re: Fishing NW wind
I wouldn't bet on there being lots of water at 0600. With high tide at 0230 and low tide at 0910, most of the water will have gone out in the first 4 hours. If you have a shallow draft boat or Yak you will probably be ok.
I am really wanting to get out. Thinking of putting in at the fort and heading south, but I am afraid with all this rain there won't be any trout or reds in the river. Also thinking of putting in at Panacea and fishing the bridge at the Ochlocknee for some sheepies. Not sure what will happen. Good luck to all of us.

That's what we did for the Kevin's tourney. As long as there is a little water, the wind wont bother you if you're protected. I'm going tomorrow.
