Long story, but I need some decent fireworks for New Years. I'm not really a fireworks guy, so I don't know where to go, or what to get. Any experts on here that can help me out? Willing to drive a little from Tallahassee if it's worth it.
Thanks in advance!

Alabama is correct. You can run over west on I-10 and then north on 231, not long after getting into Alabama, you will see two fireworks stores on your left. You can also ask some of these road side vendors if they have any fireworks that can be used for "nuisance animal control". It used to be that you could sign a disclaimer that you were using the fireworks to ward off birds, etc. and they were a little more powerful. Good Luck.

I was always an Alabama guy ... Last year for the 4th I was not able to go. My wife MADE ME stop off at one of theses firework stands. The one we went to was in the big lots parking lot on Capt Cir and Apalachhe Pkwy. I was expecting crappy stuff but they had ALL the good stuff. A bit more pricey but I spent 180 bucks and was very happy and it beat making that trip. You all will love this ....... They get around the legal stuff by having you fill out and sign you name to a sheet saying you will not shoot them off in Florida . You dont even need to use your real name or address. No one there checks or cares. I will go to one of them here local again this week. Oh and all that we shot off were all good stuff and with no duds.

Take I-10 West to Hwy 231 turn N and go across the Alabama State line. You can buy things there that they cannot legally sell here. Only about an hour and a half ride and worth it.

Sounds like a plan. I figured Bama was the place. My brother-in-law lives down in the Keys (Ramrod Key) and he is getting married on New Years Eve. I've been tasked with getting some "good stuff" for the event. He mentioned a place near Jasper, but I figured the stuff in Alabama would beat it. I hope to get some fishing in while we're down there!
