We are making out our 2010 tournament schedule. Is Jackson worth having a tournament on yet?? How about Iamonia?

Jumptrout is right.there have been some good catches this past summer.I put in at Millers without much problem and saw bigger boats than mine out there.Rhodens shouldnt be too bad either.Dont know if sunset is still open or not and I wouldnt put in at 27.Havent heard much on Iamonia lately but I am sure there are bass there and water should be high enough to launch.Miccasukee looked real good over the summer too. You having club tournys or open?

Sunset is open and has plenty of water in the channel. A dozen boats a day are going out of there.

We have a small club out of valdosta. WEe usually fish Seminole, eufaula, toho but this year we are trying to stay closer to home. Thank you all for the info and if any of you are intested in fishing with us let me know and we could probably get you in a boat.

I fished a small 7 boat tourney out of Jackson a few weeks ago and 5 of the seven boats weighed in more than 10lb's (winning weight was 4 fish at around 12 lb's). A couple of the boats were 19 and 20' bass boats which had no problems putting in at Sunset. I had 3rd bigest fish at 4.5 lb's.

They can put in but is there any hazards running around the lake? Getting in is one thing, wrecking your stuff afterwards is another.

Like JT said- Sunset is open and has plenty of water at the ramp and in the channel.
No worries of running aground.
Oyster Bar at the ramp is great- lots of hotels on 27 near the lake.

Bring some of that South GA money to Tallahassee

The oyster bar is well marked and usually exposed except for a really high tide.
