Don't bother with Ecky this weekend!

Went down to Econfina today with my 6 year old Zach to try and find a few fish. Didn't happen. Not even a nibble

Needless to say, the water was HIGH and the wind was vicious

There were a few other boats down there and nobody caught a thing. We did get to see a bald eagle fight off 5 buzzards for a dead rabbit. Saw a few turkeys too. Just nothing on the fishing end.
Stopped by the fort at St. Marks and nobody caught nothing there either. Did notice a few kids catching a few small trout off a dock near the yacht club though.
Zach really wanted fish, so we capped off the evening with an over-priced dinner at Riverside. It's rough when you can run up a $32 tab for dad and a 6 year old eating off the kids menu with no cerveza

Oh well, he enjoyed it and that's all that mattered
I told him we'll go try Lake Jackson tomorrow for a few bass

Since this thread has turned into places to eat

, I'll suggest a favorite. I've been stopping at Huttons down at 98 & 319 for the past few months. She hasn't let me down yet. Stopped there the other day on my way to AP to work and got a mullet dinner (4 pieces), 2 sides, hushpuppies, 4 pieces of red roe and a sweet tea for $10

The food is cooked to order and served HOT. Nice people too

PONGO is a Carribean fish that some say resembles grouper in taste..
I believe it belongs to that "catchall" category of "whitefish".

Huttons at 98/319, is that the place at Summercamp? If it is, I guess I need to go check it out. Not many places to eat between Panacea and Apalache any more.
Good deal on taking ya boy fishing, catch'um or not, BTW.
