NFGFC Rule Change: Non-member Tournament Participation
Posted: February 15th, 2010, 3:12 pm
I wanted everyone to know that the NFGFC officers have decided to make a small rule change regarding our tournaments. In order to allow folks to see what NFGFC is all about, we'll be amending the rules to allow non-NFGFC members to fish one of our tournaments without having to join the club or have an NFGFC member on the boat. Our goal is to get as many people to experience what the club is all about and this change allows any interested people to fish an NFGFC tournament without having to fork over $40 for membership dues...kind of a try-before-you-buy deal. Instead, you'll just enter the tournament as a non-member and pay the $25 non-member tournament entry fee.
So if you're interested in the North Florida Gulf Fishing Club, please come out and give one of our tournaments a try. As always, our monthly meetings at Beef O'Brady's are also open to non-members.
NOTE: This only applies to people who've never fished an NFGFC tournament before. If you've fished an NFGFC tournament before, this change doesn't apply to you. In light of the new tournament rule, only people who were current NFGFC members BEFORE blast off are eligible for any year-long big fish prizes. Thanks and I look forward to seeing you all on March 6th!
