I want to Thank KEVINS OUTDOOR SHOP for being the presenting sponsor of the March 6 NFGFC tournament.
A little bird told me there will be some great prizes to be awarded at this tournament.

Yeah, thanks Kevin. Looks like a good sale is going on right now, too.

I was pleased to find out most of their prices are competitive with Walmart/BassPro and advertised specials.

The fact that they sponsor NFGFC with product helps get people at meetings and into tournaments.
I for one appreciate the effort from all our sponsors and shop with all of them when possible.
Without the input from sponsors the club would not be as big and successful as it is today.

Agreed. Even if they make an x-tra quarter on a plug (which they may or may not do), at least you can get jigs, hooks and your other accessories without driving for hours. WIth SWH gone (solely as a result of poor supply chain/inventory management in my view), Kevin's, SGO and the internet are the only places to find a lot of products I like.

Thanks Kevin's!

I am a big fan of Kevin's. You can actually get what you need there. Like an actual angler runs the fishing department. Unlike some other places.

I agree that having a local angler running a tackle shop is a plus. My Dad's business (for 40 years) was a Bait and Tackle/Sporting Goods Store, so I know the business and we always appreciated the local angler support. That said, Kevin's is not my concept of a full service Tackle Shop, or even close. Nice that the business is supporting the Fishing Club, but it is way too Thomasville Plantation oriented (at least as presently set up) to ever be a true, full service, Saltwater Bait and Tackle. Tallahassee is ripe for someone to break into the middle class saltwater fishing market that is truly interested in saltwater fishing first, and not selling $75 Kevin's "Signature Model" polo shirts, $300 kangaroo boots, $100 pocket knives, leather luggage with sky high prices, or guns and ammo to wannabe outdoorsmen. That and Kevin's is rife with a certain snooty air that I don't really like, but tolerate in need, only.

Thankfully, there is still the internet.

Eddie Joe,
I find more product than I want to buy at Kevins, South Georgia Outdoors, and all the other sponsors at a very reasonable price.
If you can not afford a $75 shirt then don't buy it. They have plenty of shirts in your price range as does Walmart.
Neither of these businesses cater to just one sport or one clientele.
If you took time to introduce yourself and shake a hand you might just get the respect you think you deserve.
I have always been treated with cordiality at both these outdoor shops.
All the sponsors have gone above and beyond to stock or special order anything I asked for.
