Thanks again Tom & Crew - Social was great!

Post by bman »

Had a great time again.
Tom, thank you for putting in the time and effort to get this together again.
Glad we didn't let it slide this year.
I'm home full of fried fish, venison, cheese grits, slaw with fried bacon in it, lots of Desserts and ready for a nap!

Great prizes at the raffle - If I added up JT's numbers we had over $5000 in rod and reels alone.
Always great to talk to new folks and catch up with the regulars.

No Rain and even a little Sun.
I wish we had taken more photos but these made it....

Congratulations Tom and Chalk for pulling off a wonderful Social again this year. I enjoy them more and more every year and realize how much I miss seeing everyone throughout the year. Just wish I had time to meet and talk to more folks. The food was great but the company was better!

Thanks for making it all possible!

Thanks everyone who came out and all the food that was brought. I apologize about the lack of fish. That is normally plenty and then some but it didn't quite go as far this year. Luckily we had some other great food to fill the gap.

I enjoyed seeing everyone and talking to all the folks I could. I know I missed some folks and I apologize, but my normal helper is in Deutchland. However, all our regular cookers did a tremendous job. Much thanks goes to Steve Taylor and Bud Halbert for helping with the raffle, and Kathy Knauss for selling tickets.

The greatest thanks goes to all the sponsors who helped make this social happen. The raffle prizes were awesome this year..

To everyone who came or was involved in any way...THANK YOU!

Kudos to the cooks. I spent a lot of time in the kitchen out back and these guys know how to get it done. I even saw Tom Keels mix up his secret recipe for the fried oysters and man were they great.
Waterdog the slaw was killer. Hell everything was great.
Thanks to all the sponsors that help make this happen. I really had a great time and enjoyed seeing everyone and even making some new friends.

I'm sorry my far-better half couldn't make it this year, but each year I'm enjoying the event more and more as I meet the good folks of BBF. Actually kicking myself I didn't get the chance to talk to a few more folks this year... would have loved to talk Pangas with Harmsway, and also wanted to let Ranaman know that I'll gladly take him up on the offer for an offshore trip one of the days he's cruising down highway 59 to the coast! :-D

Tom, really do appreciate the work you and Chalk do. Know it takes a great deal of time and effort and just want you to know it's GREATLY appreciated!

PS - Bman, tell Jessica I said you really should have shared the big news... ;-)

I must say, WOW! The BBF social was a blast and could definitely tell how much hard work was put into getting this thing going! Major thanks to all the sponsors, there were tons of give-a-ways and i picked up quite a few business cards I look forward to using in the future!

I have to say though, after about my fourth raffle ticket being called, i started worrying for my life

I (Chris) am on the left, and Zach (TheBeerGuy) is on the right.

Great time as always folks! Fellowship, food, prizes....can't be beat. My guests had so much fun I think they can be counted on as regulars in the future.
