If everyone wore one, I imagine criminals would be less likely to attempt things like robberies, home invasions, school/mass shootings, etc.......

There's always the argument that more guns will result in more gun accidents, but then again, if more people had guns, wouldn't it make sense that more people would learn about gun safety?

I'm all for it.

How's that, coming from a "liberal" democrat?

I was certified last Saturday at the WCSO class. The class was from 9:00 till 3:00 and covered soup to nuts, was very informative, live range practice in the afternoon. You could select and fire a variety of firearms or bring your own.

The class is held once a month and costs $50. I highly recommend for anyone especially women since they cover all forms of personal protection and safety.

Oh, you boys are sooo agressive. Can't we all just get along? But I have to admit, it is kind of butch to carry your pistol (I love that word) so everyone can see and admire it. Maybe even touch it? This is so rad! Do they come in colors to match different outfits? :-)

I like the red guns. I know about the red guns. Those are the ones used in training when you're learning how to keep someone from taking your weapon. That's why open carry is NOT a good idea. Six hours in a classroom, without physical training on how to secure your weapon or disarm an opponent is asking for trouble. Trust me, I've been armed for almost 40 years. By carrying concealed it's harder to have your weapon taken away, and you keep the perps gussing. "Is he armed? Only his gunsmith knows for sure." So it's better to keep it in your pants and not wave it around. You might draw unwanted attention. And besides, what good is an openly-carried UNLOADED gun? How many motions will it take to draw, retrieve a magazine, put it in the gun and work the slide? You can't always say "'scuse me while I whip this out' and get it ready. Just my opinion.
