Granpa used to say there's no point in looking for trout on the flats before the dogwoods are in bloom.

In other words; I don't know. :-D

I agree that weavens' photothermometer is way 'cool'. :cold :smt025
A somewhat less perky :smt112 source for seasurface temperataures is www.wunderground.com.
Click on Maps&Radar, then Marine Maps, drill down to Keaton Beach ans wa-la, temperature map. http://www.wunderground.com/MAR/flm.html

I agree to all of these usually dont hit much over 60 until about mid april. But if you are much of a freshie fisher, when the crappie start biting good so will the trout! in other words when them dogwoods start blooming! I dont even waste the gas until late april!! Good Luck!

Hey buddy apparently the KTNF1 buoy is messed up...the water temp data either shows a steady 32 degrees or 999 degrees...No good info on water temp down near Keaton :(

Fished Saturday out of Aucilla. Water temp was 58 first thing in the morning and 62 when we "surfed" or way in around 12:30pm. We did manage to catch a solid limit of trout.
