First redfish @ 40

Sitting at the house...surfing the net...phone rings - Capt. Leake says, "What are you doing?" Ten minutes later - I am redressed, fly rod and tackle in hand....I'm making the three minute drive to the boat ramp. Justin hollers at me and I walk around the seawall and he looks like pigpen from the peanuts with the sand gnats swarming him
. Off we go in the Beavertail Vengence - fishing the last hour of light - beautiful sunset. Was rewarded with my first redfish after coming home from Germany and breaching the 40 year mark. Much better than sitting at home and watching TV - Thanks for the invite Capt. Leake -

No Chalk...... I have no doubt you caught the fish, I was referring to "A Pirate Looks at 40"........ By the way, rumor has it that Buffet made an appearance last night at Margaritaville in Pier Park yesterday.

Yep...heard he did too...would have been nice to catch that...sure the place got slammed pretty quick though
