As of May 1st all of the gas in our area, except BP, will contain Ethanol. As of now BP has no plans to bring in Ethanol, but there is a chance they may start blending off site. Albany area has already started, and that includes BP. In the near future there will be 85 octane being used with Ethanol to make 87 and so on. Sorry for the bad news folks. :smt010

This is how obama keep gas prices "low" so he can still blame high gas on Bush.

So someone with money should install some gas tanks at Jerry's and only sell non-ethanol to boaters. The marinas are still getting non-ethanol gas I believe...

I did some reading.
Turns out that if you do not have a fiberglass fuel tank, if you keep water out of your fuel, you have a relatively new four stroke motor and you use it enough that the fuel doesn't sit for more than 2 weeks, you should be fine with the new E-10 fuel mixture.
I know that's no good news for most of you, but maybe that will help ease someone's mind.

The BP in Carrabelle as of today did not have Ethanol. That sadly may come to a end soon.

:smt011 The only place in Thomasville that had non ethanol gas was Bp now they have ethanol. What is the best way to deal with it? Run your tank low and only put in what you think you will use or keep it full? Also what additives do you use. I've heard that it is mainly a problem if you have a fiberglass tank. My kenner has the tan colored plastic tank. :smt017 :smt102 I have a 05 Opti should I worry?

I've just rebuilt my engine from ethanol damage... Mr. Bellamy could attribute it to nothing except "bad fuel." :(

Keep your tank full, the less airspace you have in the tank the less condensation will form. I don't have a fiberglass tank either so I can't help there.
