WILL BE HEADING OUT OF C-QUARTERS IN CARRABELLE THIS SATURDAY ON FIRST TRIP. ANY SUGESTIONS ON A HEADING AND DISTANCE FROM LAST MARKER TO FIND SOME LIVE BOTTOM?

You can get the number to O tower off the Area Charts page of this site, and also the OAR reef numbers. I would head towards O tower then work your way back to the northwest and watch your bottom machine for hard bottom and ledges. Don't know how big a boat you have or how far you want to go but the area between O and S towers is absolutely full of good live bottom. Take some LY's and stretch 30s and you should have a good day.

Tom, Thanks for the info. Just got a 25' Carolina Classic that should get me out towers without any trouble. I'll let you know how the trip goes.

DOC,
I was out near K tower a couple of weeks ago and the fish were there. It was too rough to anchor though. There is a lot of live bottom in that area. Trolling will work. Any little "mark" on your bottom machine should be given a try.
