Yesterday was one of those days that keeps you hooked on fishing. Best day of trout fishing I have had in a long time. Trout were out in great numbers in certain areas of the flats. They were very aggressive and very hungry. Launched the boat at noon and fished until 4:30. Came back with a limit of nice trout. No monsters but a nice class of fish 17-19 on average, they were kind of skinny, nothing in their stomachs which probably explains why there were so hungry. Had to throw back 3 over 20". Two very large schools of reds were also out on the flats. Can't claim credit on finding them, they found me. Caught several that were in the 28-33 class range. Did not see any jacks. They should show up in the next week. Bait of the day was a 6" soft jerk bait fished suspended just below the surface. Gonna go again today!
