Miccosukee Saturday Night

Post by breeze »

Last Sat. evening was good at 'sukee for grown fly bream and slab specs. Fished from 6 to 8.30 pm, caught 20 on red curly tail grub with 1/32 oz. road runner jig head. It was a blast. Hope to go back this evening with Welby while the bite is still hot. Sorry I haven't posted in such a long time, fellers. :smt006

Made it back to the lake last night with Welby and Josh. We fished for 2 hours, I put 8 in the boat ( one being the largest spec I ever boated), they put 22 in the box ( Welby landed a fly bream that appeared to me to at least tie Mr. Lane's state record for Fla.). All in all it was another good evening at the Sukee. When I can get it figured out on how to get the pics transfered from camera to computer I'll post some excellent images of the trips.

I WENT A COUPLE OF WEEKS BACK, AND IT WAS ALL THE SPECS YOU WANTED. PROBLEM WAS THEY WERE ALL ABOUT 6 TO 8". MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER DID NOT MIND THAT THEY WERE SMALL. FOUND ONE BIG ONE NEAR THE BOAT RAMP. I DID NOT KNOW IF MICOS HAD A SIZE LIMIT LIKE TALQUIN SO WE LET THEM GO.

FOUND THEM IN THE GATOR HOLE AREA NEXT TO THE WOODLINE ON THE LEFT SIDE IN THE OPEN WATER, ALL ON MINNOWS.

We all hit it again last evening ( Welby, Josh, Bro. Greg and me, plus I even think I did see skeeter-eater out ther too!). Fished from 6.00-8.30. We put 7 in the box, including a 4.5 lb bass Bro. Greg somehow managed to wrestle in on an ultra-lite rig with 4 lb line and small jig. Welby and Josh I believe done better than that. I have no idea what skeeter-eater boxed. The bite has slowed but still another fine evening on the Sukee :smt006 .

What's up guys....? anyone been back at it on the lake? I haven't been for over a month (my wife and i had a baby). Just curious if you guys are still thumpin' em? I went to the boat ramp off of ro co co about 2 weeks ago and a guy was coming in with a cooler full of fly bream and specs. This heat may have slowed things down though.....
one of these days we all need to meet up....put some faces to the names.

Hey, brother! Or should I say Pops? Congrats on that new bambino! Just had my first grandboy 2 wks ago, myself. But yeah, we still been having a good time at the Sukee for a while, brother. Just ask Welby how he and his buddy did last evening! We both plan on hittin' it again Fri. evening. Come on put your boat in and join us. If you can get your hands on a hand-held marine radio, you'll find us on ch.10. Or look for a lt. gr. PerchMaster john boat and a lt. gr. Alumacraft with a Ga. state flag decal on the bow. We'd love to see ya' and trade info. :-D
