I have the chance to fish this saturday, and was thinking of trying somewhere new. I have fished suwannee, stienhatchee, keaton, and econfina. Where do you guys suggest, it will be a day tripp with me leaving from valdosta, so keep that in mind, I don't want to spend all day driving but 2 to 3 hours one way is ok. I have a key west 196br if that makes any difference.

Why don't you go fish at Mike's house? He can bring you lemon-aid to keep you cool. :-D

Cedar Key would be a great place to try out. I lived in Gainesville for a few years and fished that area about 2-3 times a week. Lots of fish out on the flats and more than enough creeks and oyster bars to keep you busy. IMO it is one of the best areas around to fish.

Horseshoe Beach was always held nice fish when I've fished there.

Go out of Steinhatchee and go south to Pepperfish key, or go west to Dallus Creek
