That looks like a pretty good knot for 50# and up mono leader. It does not look like a very good casting knot though. The two knots that are formed are a little bulky and add a lot of stiffness at the union. Probably very good for bottom fishing or trolling. For my money the "Double Grinner" is a small and very very strong knot when casting light tackle, either spinning or bait casting.

FHC search for worm knot for a better picture...just like an albright....video's technique of slightly synching down is a step that most don't talk about.
Worm makes a nice compact knot - will be using it on leader to braid connections

Check out midcurrent and look at the video on the bimini...the way he finishes it is the way I like to do it...two half hitches and then a uni with the tag in the middle.

Just for the record, I personally witnessed this knot being tied by Chalk himself. He didnt even need someone to hold the pliers, he used his knee!!

Think I will stick with the #10 Spro swivel.
Besides,I don't use braid line.

Piece of mind I guess..I thought the same thing...though....if you don't do it right and pull hard enough you can pull it loose....the uni at the end is insurance

chalk try a alberto knot (which i learn from you) instead of worm knot no need for uni and a little bit smaller

Alberto would close to impossible to tie with a 50 lb leader....I was originally trying to albright to the bimini with 50 and the braid rolled up. But Ricky showed me a trick....start the albright and make the wraps around your finger vice the line (the bimini twist is parallel to your finger and your wrap the leader around both)....pull your finger out and slowly pull the knot down...then moisten and cinch it. The more I think about it...I think the worm, alberto and albright all end up with the same finished knot...might have to goto the man cave and do some tying today.
BG that is awesome
