Headed down to SGI, plan was rent a boat at Port St. Joe and get out catch some trout, some reds, and maybe try to find a cobia or 2... when we got there to rent the boat we where told due the the weather they where not renting boats out, (slight rain with about 10 mph winds) so we heading back to SGI and hit the beaches in search of what we had planed for tue pompano. Sit on the beach all day filled a cooler with whitting but no pomps, also cought a nice size sheephead from the beach. Tue i was determined to catch something other then whitting, headed to the bay after 3 hrs and not a single bite decided to try the pomps agian but this time in the state park, Just my luck as I hit the state park everyone around there had been catching pomps earlly that morning, but they quit biting before i got there. Cought 6 more whitting and about a 15 lb sailcat but no pomps, otw home stoped in eastpoint before it got dark to see if any mullet was running, no mullet but trout was jumping everywhere. So we pulled out the poles and gave it a try, in a hr we cought 7 under size trout and 3 keepers all in all a good trip.
