After a boring foggy turkey hunt in the am, with no gobbles and no sightings, we said let's go fishing. We had some 2 week old info on CBelle and had not been down this year.

Spot 1: Fished for 30-45 minutes-no bite, no sign of life.
Spot 2: Saw a nice shark, no bites other than bait fish.
Now we are running out of time as we have to get back by a certain time. An hour left.
Spot 3: Just as I say to my nephew we should have gone to St. Marks, BAM, the red hits the line and the fight is on. Nice fish. 26.99999". We measured this sucker 20 times. A tourney fish for sure. Over the next 45 minutes we are scrambling with 5 slot size reds on the larger end and 3 break offs, 2 were real nice (remind this idjit to change his flourocarbon more often :smt010 ). We ran out of shrimp as the clock expired. Hauled tail in and made it home in time (cleaning included!).

I have pics, but cannot post them. How does one become a sponsor? I find myself reading this board more and more.

you can host pictures from free sites such as imageshack.us and post the links in between this BBCoding: [img]link_goes_here[/img]

Glad you got the bit one though, I'm sure it definitely made the trip worth it!

Under the FAQ section of this site:

Can I post images?
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com/pi ... efault.asp. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed). The easiest way to add pictures to a post would be to go to http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com/pi ... efault.asp and follow the steps and choose BigBendFishing.net from the list of forums. After you have uploaded your picture you can then copy an paste the code generated into your post.

If you want to be a sponsor, PM Tome Keels. Tell him you are my boy, he will hook you up.

I'll tell ya, this has been my worst year since taking up spring hunting. may not even get to go tommorrow, so I end the season blanked. been a while since that happened, but worse, I have not been in the game much. I need to get in a turkey lease in N Fl or So ga. When we did find birds in the Forest, so did everyone else and we were racin to the spot. :(
