Oil Slick Damage to Florida Tourism

Wall Street Journal is reporting that gulf coast from Panama City west to Pensacola is really suffering a drop in tourism due to the fear the oil slick will ruin the beaches. Up to a 30% drop in most places. I was very fortunate to book my condo for most weeks during the summer prior to the oil rig explosion and have had only one renter who is nervous about the spill. So far no cancellations.

There has been a LOT of money invested in Panama City the last ten years and a lot of it has been on the brink of bankruptcy with this economy. This might push a LOT more of it over the brink.
