My fishing buddy just bought a Van Staal VS100G inshore fishing reel. He says its the best reel made, but I'm not so sure, and I wonder if he's got more money than sense. It sure is one pretty reel though. Does anyone have any experience with Van Staal fishing reels? Do they wobble? Does the oil leak out the seals?

Any thoughts on Van Staal reels are appreciated.

Way too expensive for my budget.
I believe like you do when it comes to maintenance. I've got reels that have been fished for nearly 20yrs that still give good service due to regular maint. schedules.

It's a small world, unless you had to paint it.
