Today's adventure

Lets see, a lot of things happened in one day. I mentioned the very brief tarpon hookup in another thread.
Ran out of Aucilla today. The water was so dark we could not see bottom in a foot of water, we ran a pretty good ways both east and west and it was still pretty dark. My boat is new to me, so I tend to kinda baby it in that area, where rocks breed daily. We kept one red, one trout, two flounder and one Spanish. My bro and nephew were laughing at me calling for the net like a madman for the little flounder, but that last recipe I made was so dang good, I wanted that bad boy something terrible.
When the tide went slack we were doin a little exploring and we saw a decent shark finning. We went into stealth mode with a cut ladyfish, trying to get ahead of him to present the bait. We are chasing him down with the TM and see a brown spot headed our way. We say hey to Mr. Manatee as he ambles by. The shark never spooked, but always stayed out just a little too far. As we finally had him hemmed up and headed back out to the open water with us just about in position to make the cast, we hear a boat motor approaching. FWC. Durn it. The shark sounded and the game was off. Real friendly officer checked us and we had some mutual friends and had a real nice chat waitin for the tide to pick up again.
Picked up a couple more non keppers and decide to head in. The boat will just start to get on plane, and it dies. Does this repeatedly on the way in, can run it fine at about 5mph, but give it more fuel and it dies. It is at the doctors right now. I had a bunch of little things for him to do, so why not add a heart catheterization to the tummy tuck. A fun day, not tons of fish, but we stretched the line a little all day. Hopefully, it won't cost me too much.
