Mashes Sands 5-23-10

Post by wevans »

Left out around 7:30 run WOT to my first spot, dropped the red head in the water and the drag screemed as I went over my spot :-D after a little give and take, I decided ta just turn off the motor and prepare for a fight :o got the Cobia to the boat at least a dozon times but couldn't get a shot at it with the gaff and he finally pulled free :smt010 set the red head out again and on the third pass it sings the song again  this fight was also a drawn out one due to my forearm feeling like it was on fire one minute and a wet rag the next  finally stuck him with the gaff and strait into the live-well, a 34 incher "sure wouldda hated ta have ta throw him back" decided my arm couldn't handle another Cobia any time soon, so went off towards bouy 26, started trolling about 3 miles from it and hooked up with and landed a 34 inch King  trolled out as far as 55 foot and back with no takers, ran to the rotary and trolled for about 2 hours on it with nothing and headed in. Decided ta give the Reds and Trout a shot at the big Oyster bar at the mouth and caught a 23 inch Trout while Red fishin and a 24 inch Red while Trout fishin  The 4 fish give me 8 FULL quart bags of boneless fish :lick:

PS: the camera's broke, so no pics this time :smt010
